Works well cools and Quiet

Very happy with it. It was relatively easy to install. My son installed it. We live on the second floor. Its very quiet running and love the remote control. I am pleased with the cooling it provides I require it for my health. we live in Southern Ca and it gets hot here. I consider it a good all-around value.

Disappointing and ugly

I decided it was time to replace my 5-year-old air conditioner. I had to have it on 64 to get any cooling. I could not believe how ugly it was after it was installed. LG gives you gave us black cheap sponge tape for a white air conditioner. Secondly I have to put this on 64 and use my ceiling fan to feel cool in my small bedroom. Its not particularly quiet. The clean filter light comes on constantly. My last air conditioner had larger air vents than this and I could adjust the airflow direction up or down. I went with LG because Consumer Reports rated them so highly but this one really is a real disappointment

We had a problem with the unit we bought. It did not work properly. It was quite a long process to get LG to send a new unit. My husband and I are in our eighties so installing wasnt an easy process. Now we will have to do it all over again. I will let you know how the replacement works

I expected more from LG

Its a window air conditioner it should be simple right? Its designed included installation kit doesnt seem to allow for the needed tilt for it to drain properly. It took extra work on my part to get the water to drip away from the house. I checked my windows with a level and they were properly set. Theres a seemingly random shutoff time from anywhere from 12 to 20 minutes that it takes to turn off AFTER you hit the power button to turn it off. Temp range is 60 to 86. I like it cold when I sleep so I set it to 61. Using infrared thermometer and a digital thermometer it never gets below 66 degrees before it shuts the compressor off. A lot of the time its still around 70 when it shuts off. You can only adjust the air direction left to right and that barely doesnt anything. There is no vertical air adjustment. Its very loud. The display is very bright and lights my room up at night. Its definitely a low end economy model. This is my first LG air conditioner and I guess I had a lot higher expectations from it. The product seems to be built well but the design and functions could use a lot of improvement. Im beyond the return window so Ill be keeping it but I probably wouldnt buy another LG air conditioner based on my experience.

Hope You Get All The Parts - I Didnt.

I picked up the AC at Home Depot and when I got home I found the box was missing the upper guide support that holds the unit in place. There are only 5 items needed and 1 of the 5 was missing. That says a lot about the quality control at LG. I phoned the help number and they said it would be shipped to me and I should get it in a week. Its 95 degrees and they want me to wait a week to install the AC How about shipping it next day so I can use the air conditioner?

Bought this ac unit back in April. Its stylish and was easy to assemble. Placed it in my window just yesterday. Havent had the weather quite yet to run it for its efficiency. I did turn it on was a little disappointed. I know there will be sound coming from it but I didnt think it was as smooth as I expected. Ill try resetting it in the window.
