Machine is 4 years old. New out of the box the heating mode would not work. Service tech came out and replaced heating unit. 4 years later machine will not heat. Contacted LG for a service tech and they do not currently have one in my area Branson MO. So in the winter I have a boat anchor and hopefully this summer I will have an air conditioner.

The unit did its job BUT I couldnt set it below 60 degrees when I was away AND it recycled every 105 to 125 seconds -- all night--counting them was all that kept me from shooting it.

I am very pleased with this LGs ability to heat/cool my 1000sq ft garage apartment. I am disappointed that it only goes down to 60 degrees as I leave my buildings at 50 degrees when I am not in residence.

Quit Heating

Weve rarely used this window unit....less than 1000 hours of use over a 3-4 year period of use. Weve cleaned the filters after using for more than a few days every time weve used it. It just quit heating totally. Blows air...no heat at all. No troubleshooting has worked to help.

Ive had this air-condition with heater for about 3 months I have a problem with it cutting on and off not running long enough to heat technician came out and checked it said it needed to be leveled if that didnt help he would come back out. When he gave his report he said that the problem was improper installation and wasnt the right size for the room and closed the ticket on it. So he lied to me and theres no way something can cut on and off be efficient would not recommend buying anything from LG

Disappointing product and experience

Product started emitting antifreeze type smell after 16 months of operation. After contacting both Home Depot where we bought it and LG the manufacturer directly we were told it was over its 1 year warrantee and we could pay to have it repaired. We contacted two local AC repair companies who both told us that it would cost us about half the cost of a new unit to repair it and neither was interested in sending over a service tech. They both recommended that we simply buy a new unit. Very disappointing after spending $800 for the unit to work for little over a year. Customer service was very aloof and none offer any solutions to our problem very disappointing.

Svc person has been out twice. Decibal noise is loud. I researched quite a few other models and your company described this particular model was to be the quietest. Not true. Very dissapointred. Would not recommend this one.

Great Window Unit

Bought this in April of 2023 and so far it works great. Cant say much for Lowes handling of the unit Not LGs fault. Installed this thru the wall easily enough no sleeve needed imo. All outside grills are open. Cools great time will tell regarding the heating functionality.

Bought it for the heating function

The unit works good and even held its own fairly well down to 10F. Eventually it stopped working because the unit froze up from the ice storm which kept it from starting by putting resistance on the fan which impacted the system which is designed to soft start. LG was very responsive to check the unit and all was well. While the unit is sized reasonably for our house the layout of our windows and floorplan contributes to the unit short cycling. This causes us to tweak air movement and settings to try and reduce this. It would be helpful if you could program a temp range to increase the spread between triggering on and off. Our house is very old and has zero insulation in the walls which allows for ambient temps to swing fast and with a narrow temperature spread constantly triggers the thermostat.
