I BOUGHT THIS UNIT A FEW YEARS BACK AND IT SEEMED FINE UNTIL THE EC CODE WAS DISPLAYED. IT HAS NOT BEEN WORKING SINCE. TRIED TO CALL AND LIVE CHAT VERY HARD COMPANY TO GET A HOLD OF.

I purchased this dehumidifier at a higher cost than other models because my previous 70 pint Frigidaire lasted over nine years. This one is a little noisier than the previous model but it gets the job done. We use it in a large basement and it always feels very comfortable with no feeling of humidity. We keep it set on 65%.

I like the trim and finish. It removes water efficiently and quickly. I like the bucket design and controls. The filter placement and design could be improved. It runs too long and I™™ve yet to have one that lasted more than 2 years. This is my third 70 pint Frigidaire. Other brands haven™™t demonstrated durability either.

The 70 pint dehumidifier we recently purchased is very efficient. We have placed it in a small damp area where there is alot of moisture, and I must say it is drying up the area beautifully. We do need to empty the contained at least twice a day, but have noticed lately that it is only once a day now. So it is doing a great job of eliminating moisture and also, my husband has noticed less of an odor. Our only complaint, and very slight, it is just a little noisy when it's running, but other than that, a great product! Thanks Frigidaire.

This lasted 16 months before it just stopped dehumidifying. fan works and blows cold air. Filter was kept clean. I did not short cycle it. Grills kept clean. Water emptied regularly. and now it has to be taken to the recycle center. I'm not made of money. To have to buy another one after less than two years is not okay.

We bought this unit 4 months ago based on customer ratings reviews. Almost every day, we had to go in the basement to unplug & restart it because it had stopped running with an "EC" code on it. Unacceptable! Contacted Frigidaire, sent in all of the needed paperwork & they sent us a new (but smaller) one as an exchange. So far the replacement one is running fine. Do not buy the 70 pint dehumidifier, it is a piece of junk!

It's been keeping our basement dry for a few months now. Quiet and steady. We've got a hose to the floor drain so no attention required. A recent storm caused a bit of water in the basement and it's been handling the resulting humidity like a trooper.

I bought this dehumifier for my kitchen. My gas stove was producing a lot of heat in my kitchen creating a lot of moisture. Since I placed this my kitchen the temperature when cooking has been awesome.

Two months in on ownership and the only issue I've had was with leakage once. The first time I rinsed the filter, water dripped and pooled on the base of the unit, and on the floor around the unit. Since I was away from the unit, I wasn't aware of the leakage unit several minutes later. So maybe keep an eye on the unit the first time removing the filter. However, no other issues before or since.

I bought the unit through Sam's a few months back to help remove moisture from a 1983 Avion camper, prior to beginning a renovation project that would require the repair of some woodwork damaged by moisture (there had been some water intruding around window seals). I was impressed with how much water this unit removed, day after day after day. No problems at all. A contractor working on the trailer noticed the difference his first visit. We have now resealed the trailer, so the unit is getting a rest, but I think it will be very valuable during long periods of storage.

I bought this a while back, from past 4 years , this has issues ,it shuts off with display code as EC, to help with this i brought a automatic timer switch with on-off for every 2 hours. I contacted customer service recently and they said it's out of warranty, I paid almost $279 for this product ,,this is waste of money, never buy any Frigidaire product.

Well this was a much needed purchase for our household. We had a pipe break and got 3" of water in our basement. With all the water cleaned up there was still a dampness in the basement (doesn't help the extemely humid weather we had been having). We have been running this as per the instructions and this has eliminated that dampness. Work great.

I hooked this unit up in a large basement near the ocean where warm weather humidity is high. It drains to a basement floor drain, and operates unattended, keeping humidity level at 60%. This unit is very reliable thus far, but it is my third Frigidaire dehumidifier in six years, the other two having failed with control board problems. If the control circuit board were available from Frigidaire, these units could be repaired made to last much longer. Both of my failed units run mechanically, but they don™™t know when to shut off or turn on, so I can™™t leave them running. I hope this one lasts.

This dehumidifier spent its' entire life in our basement. It didn't last a full five years but it did last more than four. This one didn't die via shooting sparks like the last one of a different brand did so that's a plus in my book. (the last one terrified us into avoiding that brand entirely) This one died by flashing the code EC, shutting down and refusing to react to any button presses though unplugging it and plugging it back in made it work for a few hours before it shut down again. It was still pulling water out of the air but we don't have time to go down to unplug and replug the unit every few hours so we're seeking a replacement.

Frigidare 70 pint dehumidifier works smoothly and efficiently. It ™s simple to operate; the auto off feature when the tank is full is great. It™™s been operating everyday for last two weeks removing 2 to 3 gallons a day removing humidity and improving the air quality. I am allegoric to mold and the removal of humidity really helps keep mold under control. And does its job quietly! The only slight negative is the removing and replacing of the bucket is not as smooth and easy as I would have hoped for. I would recommend this to anyone thinking of an efficient dehumidifier.

I bought this Frigidaire Dehumidifier a few weeks ago and love it. I can't believe how much water it is pulling out of the air. I didn't realize how "broken" my old humidifier was until I got this new one. I'm saving to buy 2 more. One more for the basement and one for the main floor. I would highly recommend it right now.

Runs pretty quiet (quieter than my old one). It's easy to empty and I like that you can see how full it is before emptying. It's easy to roll around. The filter is easy to get at and clean. It pulls a lot of water and does it quickly. No complaints!

Purchased this dehumidifier one month ago for our unfinished basement to replace another Frigidaire dehumidifier. What I like about Frigidaire dehumidifiers is that they tend to work for 5-6 years for me. Other brands have died in 2 years, so I have stopped taking chances and rely upon this model. I also like being able to set the desired humidity level and running the water directly into the basement drain so I don™™t have to remember to dump the catcher all the time.

I bought this from Amazon in August 2019 and by May 2020 it was leaking water all over in the floor. Tried to call customer service and have emailed numerous times because it was supposed to have a one year warranty. Frigidaire will not answer on the customer service hotline or email back. Do NOT buy from this company. Terrible customer service.
